Getting Maximum Pick Up Growth


During the beginning period of learning to do anything, rest becomes vitally important. For those of you who lift weights and go to the gym you will instantly understand what I mean. When you lift weights you tear your muscle tissue. When the muscle tissue is torn your body then begins the recovery process of rebuilding the torn muscle tissue. The body recognises that it needs more muscle and so during the rebuilding it makes sure that the tissue is extra strong. This leads to muscle growth.

Pick up follows the same pattern. The only difference is that the pick up muscle is a mental muscle rather than a physical muscle. The brain runs on homeostasis, this is there to make sure that you are survivng. Homestasis is an operating pattern that is concerned only that your current behaviour is the same as the behaviour that kept you alive all of these years. Homeostasis is not interested in you becoming a better person, or attracting a hotter girlfriend, it just wants to play it safe and keep you alive. It is important to overide homeostasis when you know what you are doing will benefit you in the long run, like learning PUA.

On bootcamp it is very common for students to get tired very quickly. Typically come Sunday most students will be happy, excited but also SHATTERED. This is homeostasis in full affect, the student has been out of his comfort zone for a long time and so the body shuts itself down. It starts to make him feel tired. Staying out until 2am would usually be no problem but come 12am after bootcamp he suddenly has to go to bed.


The body has lots of these cool auto-survival features. I work eleven hour days and then in the evening I will usually teach or do a practice seminar. My work load is very high and this month the levels of stress that built up in my nervous system went into overload. I also appeared on a BBC chat show, and talked in front of over one million people about pick up. This was a fantastic experience and I’m getting fairly used to public speaking but I hadn’t been resting properly before it. The day after the media work my body had enough.


I had been working hard and plus pushing my comfort zone without getting enough rest. The next morning I awoke to begin work with a terrible pain in my right sholder blade. This pain got so bad that I couldn’t get out of bed or sit up. I was lying there in the most unbelievable pain and the only thing I could do to help ease the pain was to not move at all. This continued for three days, I was very lucky to have a beautiful woman to look after me for most of the time. My body had shut itself down and this was its way of making sure that it got the rest that it needed. I was confined to my bed. This apparently is very common in people who are self employed and are big goal setters. The nervous system gets over-worked to the point of exhausion and then it says enough is enough.

When learning pick up you will be doing a lot of things outsie of your comfort zone. Making these approaches will benefit you lots in the long and short run but it also will create some stress in your system. If you get Approach Anxiety and I’d say 90% of men do, then you will definitly want to make sure you recover properly after each day or night you go out.


Going to BED EARLY is key. I bet you will encounter tens of oppertunities to approach women you are attracted to everyday. By walking through the day tired you will miss out. It is important to be thriving instead of just surviving. Everyone knows that making an approach when you are tired is going to be less successful then when you make it when you are wide awake. You want to be approaching women offering energy rather than taking it. Redbull or coffee will just create a stimulated nervous energy so they are no use either. Nervous energy game! High five!* guys think of a number between 1-10, whoooo! Funny, but this nervous energy game will not lead to sex. It will lead to entertainment and then women going to dance or needing the toilet though. I used to make a lot of women go to the toilet in my early pick up career, truely I’m talking from experience.


I know it doesn’t sound very Rock n Roll to make sure you get enough sleep after a pick up session. However learning to master pick up takes time and you will be going out a LOT if you want to get good. Stress and an overworked nervous system will soon lead to adrenal fatigue and a noticable drop in your game. Priorities lead to mastery.


Important priorities


Get to bed early especially after a day or evening of doing approaches. Give your nervous system time to recover. During sleep your body will go into it’s recovery process. By making sure that you get enough sleep will mean:-


1. You are wide awake and ready to approach tomorrow
2. The stress that built up through the approaching session will have gone
3. Your nervous system will be healed
4. You will feel more relaxed tomorrow, a very important feeling for when approach women.
5. Your mind will be quicker and more focused
6. You will look healthier and happier (no black bags under the eyes)


Women want a healthy man because they realise that you would give her healthy babies. A certain type of woman is attracted to a man who does drugs or drinks too much and that type of woman usually does the same thing. You are who you are attract. Get healthy and attract a healthy woman. Get healthy and attract all women. Demonstrating that you are on top of your life is a demonstration of an alpha male. Recover, rest and enjoy the sex ;-)
